What's a Ship Experience Access Room (SEAR)? Read on!
Posted 12/20/2018 byScanSource was honored to be part of a wonderful project at the USS Wisconsin Museum in Norfolk, Virginia. Our partners IPConfigure and Axis Communications offered a great deal of support, providing the equipment and manpower to set up cameras and run cables as part of the Museum’s Ship Experience Access Room (SEAR). The SEAR provides a wheelchair accessible room full of large monitors for veterans and their families to get an in-depth look at several areas on board the Battleship USS Wisconsin, many of which are very hard to gain access to. Using pan-tilt-zoom security cameras on the ship and joysticks back in the SEAR, veterans can control the cameras to explore the spaces.

Another Successful Week of Giving
Posted 12/07/2018 byUniversity of South Carolina Athletics has wrapped up another successful Week of Giving, the annual charitable initiative to give back to non-profit organizations in the greater Columbia, South Carolina area. ScanSource has been honored to participate alongside USC student athletes for three consecutive years – volunteering with organizations like the Ronald McDonald House, Salvation Army, and Palmetto Children’s Hospital in Columbia. This year, ScanSource employees packed and prepared boxes at Harvest Hope – one of South Carolina’s largest food banks serving 20 counties and 27 million meals across the state – and sorted donated clothes at the Salvation Army, which will go to families and individuals in need.
